For custom cakes we recommend ordering as early as you can, especially for weddings and large tiered cakes. That said, we're known for accommodating short-notice and even same-day requests when our schedule and the design allow — always reach out and ask.

How far in advance should I book a wedding cake?

Accepted Answer

For weddings and large tiered cakes, we recommend reaching out 3 to 6 months ahead, especially for spring and fall dates — those Saturdays fill up first, and booking early means we can plan a tasting if you'd like one and lock in your design without a rush. That said, life doesn't always work on that timeline. We've taken on weddings with just a few weeks' notice when our schedule allowed, so if your date is close, please still ask — we'll tell you honestly what's possible.

Do you take last-minute or 24-hour orders?

How do quotes and deposits work?

Every cake is custom-quoted based on size, servings, design, and details. A 50% deposit secures your date; the balance is due at least two days before pickup or delivery. Orders placed within two days of the event are paid in full at booking.

How many servings will my cake give?

Accepted Answer

It depends on height as much as width. Our round cakes are three layers as standard, which gives roughly: Round (three-layer): 6" — 15–18 · 7" — 22–26 · 8" — 30–36 · 10" — 45–55 A shorter two-layer round gives about a third fewer — an 8-inch drops to 20–24. Heart (two-layer): 6" — 10–12 · 8" — 18–22 · 9" — 22–26 · 10" — 28–32 Sheet cakes: Quarter sheet — 20–25 · Half sheet — 45–50 These are a guide — how generously the cake is cut makes a real difference. Tell us your guest count when you inquire and we'll recommend the right size, height, and number of tiers. Every tiered cake comes with a printed cutting guide for you or your venue.

What happens if I need to cancel or change my date?

A 50% deposit secures your date, and the balance is due two days before pickup or delivery. Orders booked within two days of the event are paid in full at booking. Date changes are welcome with at least a week's notice, subject to availability. If you need to cancel more than 7 days before your date, your deposit carries over as credit toward a future order, valid for one year. Within 7 days, the deposit can't be returned — the date can't be refilled and ingredients have usually been purchased.

Do you deliver?

Yes — we deliver across Katy, Fulshear, Richmond, Cypress, and Sugar Land, and further into the Houston area including Tomball, Pearland, Jersey Village, Humble, Kingwood, and The Woodlands, depending on the date and order. Scheduled and curbside pickup are also available. Delivery is quoted with your cake.

Do you make eggless cakes?

Yes — eggless cakes are one of our specialties, available across many of our flavors. Please note we don't currently offer gluten-free cakes, and our kitchen handles common allergens, so tell us about any severe allergies before booking.

How do inspiration photos work?

Accepted Answer

Send us any photo you love. We use it as a design reference and create our version of it, tailored to your servings, colors, and budget.

Question 10

How should I store and transport my cake?

Accepted Answer

Carry the cake by the base of the box and keep it level at all times — a flat vehicle surface with the A/C on. Refrigerate in the box until a few hours before serving, then take it out 1-3 hours ahead so the buttercream softens. Keep it out of direct sun and serve in a room at 73°F or below.
